Last fall, nationally-recognized and award-winning artist Kirk Poffenberger set out to create a new way to depict homes, antique automobiles, private aircraft, pets and landscapes for clientele. His goal was to create a new visual experience for his customers something much more than a traditional oil painting or photography. Tapping into his 30+ years of fine arts experience, Poffenberger announced "NeoTag © Illustrations" a new slant on the age-old intaglio illustration and printing process. The result? Clients are lining up to have one of his NeoTag Illustrations in their homes and offices.
Poffenberger's technique provides each customer with a unique, one-of-a-kind masterpiece all hand drawn in pen and ink. Starting from a photograph of the home, car or other subject, Poffenberger begins the intense NeoTag rendering by recreating the photo one small ink line and curve at a time. Depending upon size requested by clients up to 30" x 40" in some cases more than 150,000 ink lines and curves make up a finished work.
"My goal is to create visual experiences by combining various mediums and styles, allowing each piece the freedom to take on a life of its own," says Artist Poffenberger. "Ultimately, my satisfaction comes from the process of creating, and my NeoTag Illustrations have been very rewarding."

| Tom Rumsey of Alliance, Ohio states "If you have a true passion for your home, there is simply no better way to express it." Thousands of hand drawn lines went into the piece to make it truly amazing and so very unique. |

Each NeoTag Illustration takes between two and three days to complete. During the coming year, Poffenberger plans to create a limited number of the unique pieces and is now accepting commissions.
"Many of my clients are asking for NeoTag Illustrations of their homes says Poffenberger. "I am inspired by their enthusiasm, and I am proud to be offering clients something different, personal and totally hand created. Each line and curve I draw combines to make a stunning piece of artwork for the owner. And it is thrilling for me to see the astonishment as I unveil each piece. The personal attachment people feel is so rewarding and exciting to me as an artist."
Nationally, Poffenberger's cutting-edge technique is a wave of the future. Inquiries about his unique art process for homes, classic cars, yachts, pets and even office buildings are being received and the artist is ready for the challenge. "I enjoy the variety of subjects desired by my clients. There is nothing that this style cannot capture.
Although each NeoTag Illustration is unique, several owners have asked Poffenberger to make smaller versions suitable for reproduction on note cards and even personal and business stationery. The style lends itself to quality reproduction.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in Salem, Ohio, Poffenberger began experimenting with visual arts as a teenager. After graduating from Youngstown State University with a degree in graphics arts, he enjoyed solid success in the advertising agency business rising from studio artist to Vice President Creative for a national agency. He has received over 20 awards for his work on the regional and national level. His one-man show at the Hoyt Institute in New Castle, Pennsylvania, featuring "Observation," an audio-visual journey, was critically acclaimed. Poffenberger is currently President of his own design firm, Design Studio and resides in Salem with his wife Jennifer, son Chase and Putter the wonder dog.
